Get in touch with us on 03442 16 16 16 for a prompt appointment – sometimes even the next day. Your initial visit will include a survey, carried out by one of our fully qualified, highly experienced surveyors; it’s an important first step, so do feel free to ask as many questions as you need.
In case you were wondering: why is a survey important? The short answer is, it’s not just important, it’s crucial. Not only can we take accurate measurements (we would never ask you to do this yourself), we’ll also be able to confirm that your stairs are suitable for a stairlift – although to be fair, most are.
Furthermore, a survey will give us a fuller about you, and your property – your unique mobility needs, and so on.
Let’s Get Started
- It’s all about the details. We’ll take ultra-accurate measurements of the staircase length and width to determine the practical elements of your stairlift – the track length, for example; also, the angle of the stairs, and how much headroom you may need.
- Your surveyor will take note of the minimum space required at the bottom of the stairs to enable the stairlift to park, with plenty of room.
- Are there obstructions? For example, any doors, banister rails, radiators or any other considerations? No problem at all. We can adapt or move these as needed.
- Power supply. Let’s check where this is, and if necessary we can install a new power point.
- Are you able to bend your knees comfortably to travel in a seated position? (And, other mobility-related questions.)
- Talk to us about any manual dexterity problems you may have, and we can take these into consideration. A battery-operated remote may suit you, for instance, or maybe a joystick or a toggle.
